Heritage Park, Calgary

IBI/Landplan was selected as the landscape consultant for the expansion of Heritage Park. The expansion plans will revitalize the Park and the heritage experience of the guests while at the same time dramatically expanding the operating season of the park from four months to the full calendar year. A new section at the Park's entrance called Heritage Town Square has been added as part of the expansion plans. The Square will connect people to Western history by offering three new and dynamic "all weather" exhibits: the Gasoline Alley Exhibit Hall, the Calgary Canadian Pacific Railway Station 1893, and the Heritage Business Block. Beside the Railway Station an authentic railway garden will incorporate a sundial and static train display.
